Peanut butter and mulberry smoothie
This is a protein rich smoothie, adding chia seeds is optional here as you will see that I have not added it to my share of smoothie. I had first tasted store bought peanut butter and it just did not suit my palate. Yes the amount of sugar in it did not go well for me and that is when the search for all natural peanut began. Ho yes I have tried making peanut butter at home and it had turned out well. but as usual lazy me takes over sometimes and I go on to store bought ones, it is always advised to see ingredients before you purchase peanut butter from stores. Only ingredient should be PEANUTS and nothing else. Well some of the brands do sell with sweetener added to it, so i suggest check and buy as per your needs.
Now coming to making this yummy smoothie, let me first tell you it is more on the crunchy side than smooth one. So if you prefer it smooth without the seeds of mulberry I suggest you first blend mulberry with very little water and strain it and then follow the rest of the steps as mentioned below.
1 large ripe frozen banana, Robusta works really well.
5-8 mulberry fruit.
1 tbsp of smooth peanut butter.
1 tsp of curry leaves powder.
1-2 tsp chia seeds (optional).
Add all the ingredients into the blender, if you are adding mulberry juice first blend rest of the ingredients add the mulberry juice at the end of the blend cycle.
Blend until smooth, pour into your glass or mason jars.
This when you may add chia seeds and mix well. I skipped it for me, but did add it into the glass of the little one and mixed well.
PS: If you are very active person and do workout then add both chia seeds and peanut butter else I suggest you skip one of them.
Peanut butter has enough protein for one person.
Add chia seeds in moderation as you might gain weight.
